We are in the small hamlet of Thimbleby on the edge of the stunning North York Moors National Park, just over a mile from the popular walker's village of Osmotherley, 8 miles from the market town of Northallerton and 10 miles from Thirsk. Stay with us to escape, relax and explore. Admire the views and walk off our hearty Yorkshire breakfast on the famous Cleveland Way National Trail. Explore the picturesque Yorkshire villages and Market towns, or visit the Yorkshire Coast and the charming North Yorkshire Moors Railway. We are a short drive from the A19 which is a major road to the thriving historic City of York. Enjoy a dinner in a cosy local pub and share a bottle of wine from our in-house wine list. In Winter, come on one of our Cookery Experiences and enjoy stargazing in our dark skies. There is something for everyone, we can help you plan your stay with us.
We are rated 5 star (Gold Award) by the AA and we are AA Friendliest B&B of the Year 2019-2020. We are proud to have a Silver Award from Green Tourism and we are working on achieving Gold. We have Electric Car Chargers (Tesla & Universal) for residents use only. We are a husband and wife team and you will be greeted with a warm Yorkshire welcome. Meet our resident ponies in the Stable Yard and enjoy homemade cake and Yorkshire Tea during check-in. All our rooms are en-suite, with their own private entrance and are furnished with locally crafted English oak furniture made by Beaver Furniture and Robert Thompson’s 'Mouseman'.
We are fully licensed and all our rooms have a fridge/mini bar with fresh milk and a selection of wines. In the morning, we serve an award winning breakfast from our extensive menu, prepared by Amy, a professional chef using good quality, local ingredients. We have achieved the AA Covid Confident accreditation and we have successfully completed the Visit England's 'We're Good to Go' assessment.

In the Autumn 2019, we launched our fun, half day Cookery Experiences to give Guests a taste of Yorkshire. My Kitchen offer both Residential and Non-Residential Cookery Experiences from Autumn to Spring.
